Last year I participated in a creative residency promoted by #CraftingEurope, an initiative of nine European #craft organizations that strives to build the crafts sector by providing #craftspeople with the knowledge and skills to grow and strengthen the #craftindustry.
Crafting Europe designed #iAtelier, a program of activities that combines new #digital#fabrication#technologies and #craftpractices, connecting #makers with digital experts.
Our final project is here, presented at an exhibition at Dutch Design Week. The #Tressalamp brings two areas of artisanal know-how closer to new technologies. The tireless work team was me (textile arts/design), Pedro Aguiar (ceramics) and Daniel Leal (new technologies).
I wish I could say more, but I'm still impacted by what an intense weekend it was to participate in this moment. Thank you CEARTE - Centro de Formação Profissional para o Artesanato e Património and Craftingeurope for the opportunity, Crafts Council Nederland for the organization, and to my co-workers for the good and rich moments of exchange and learning.
